Hallie Baron

The Principal

Hallie Baron has extensive experience as a strategic marketing and communications professional, providing a wide array of services that spans simple writing projects to fundraising/revenue-generating collateral cross-channel support to complex marketing plans to high-end special events.

Baron started her career in the medical non-profit sector, where she handled all aspects of marketing and communications for a variety of institutions, including the prestigious Children’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, both in Boston, Massachusetts. Highlights including and handling extensive event-related public/media relations and collateral development for multiple fundraising efforts, working with scientists on the cusp of HIV research to translate their findings into plain English and acting as the liaison to local government and community groups. She even co-authored an encyclopedia of children’s health during this period.

In her subsequent move to the for-profit sector, Baron was instrumental in creating a

succession of highly successful marketing/communication departments focused on the retirement and financial industries. Her work in two leading companies – Putnam Investments in Boston and Charles Schwab & Company in San Francisco – helped set new standards for sales, communication and education programs and tools in the retirement plan space.

Baron returned to the non-profit sector to apply her business knowledge to the marketing needs of the Jewish Community Federation in San Francisco. Over her three-year tenure there, she was able to revamp, retool and refresh all aspects of its marketing communications function and to rebuild strong programs focused on supporting fundraising, building stronger community relations and moving the business forward.

Since 2007, Baron has provided a suite of multi-channel strategic marketing services to a client roster of non-profit organizations and for-profit companies that blend best-in-class business practices with a keen sense of budgets and efficiencies – a winning combination for her clients.
